Long term implications

A new biopesticide has been approved by the US EPA that can be used as an insect repellent. It is manufactured from the catnip plant that is currently cultivated throughout the world. The first step of this project will be to evaluate the interest and infrastructure of Burundi to cultivate catnip and manufacture the biopesticide. The budget for the entire project may be on the order of $20 million. An international conference will be held in Burundi from October 14-16, 2010 to initiate the project.

    These Zumba evenings are organized by ACECI and are hosted and sponsored by professional aerobics professor Béatrice Zorza. The goal is the funding of ACECI's catnip project and the fight against malaria. On April 25th 2013, World anti-malaria Day, a mission from ACECI will travel to Burundi to take part in the celebrations and to organize further activities linked to our project there. Béatrice Zorza will take part in this mission ahd she will organize Zumba activities in Bujumbura, as part of our public awareness program. Read more...
